Welding

A good and growing Welding-career starts obviously with excellent training obtained at an outstanding welding Institution which offers a complete welding plan of study thoroughly organized and well conducted by experienced trainers.

Welding Procedures, work instructions, welding techniques, code welding, recommended practice, specifications, welding information, welding standards such as American Welding Society (AWS) & ANSI/AWS STANDARD WELDING PROCEDURES (WPS) are intended to meet the rules of the major codes.

Acceptable different welding techniques include the advancement direction of welding which may influence heat input and speed of welding for simple joining operations the selection of the technique is left to the welder according to his preference and experience.

Also the best angles of torch or electrode from the work surfaces and the way of feeding filler metal are details included in the technique, which the welder learn during training and become part of his experience to control successfully the outcome of welding operations.

Welding Specifications cover requirements for voluntary adoption and no enforcement is meant unless they are agreed upon and one could say that Welding-codes are essentially enforced Specifications.

Welding Standards cover industry agreed upon conventions like definitions of terms and of symbols as used in the industry for conveying information.

Welding Recommended Practices reflect the recommendations of some of the most knowledgeable professionals in the field with the purpose of helping people improve the practical implementation of different techniques and procedures and obtain best results.

Our Institute has approximately 4 full-time welders Instructor’s that are highly qualified and experienced with many types of welding. All Instructors are certified in accordance with AWS D1.1 and ASME Section 9 standards. For certain projects, semi-automatic welding processes are utilized when possible in order to maximize efficiency while maximizing weld quality.

Specific welding processes in common use include:

  • Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW)
  • Gas Tungsten Arc (TIG)
  • Gas Metal Arc (GMAW or MIG)
  • Submerged Arc

We train Raw and semi skilled workers in different positions from the basic fillet positions to Groove positions to compete approved standards internationally. We use globally adhered electrodes for quality welding. The training tenure for this trade is 40 days and an additional 20 days for 6G positions.

We use DC Welding Rectifiers and their configurations can impact the skill of the welders during training and their parameters are adjustable from 6amps to 200 amps and each rectifier consists of 400amps serialized ESAB brand Rectifiers. We can cater 30 booths at a time and can train 30 candidates per hour and the training materials are used from 10mm to 25mm Mild steel plates of sizes 200mm length. We use globally adhered ESAB brand electrodes from sizes 2.15mm to
4.0mm and we strictly use E7018 low hydrogen coated electrodes are used for both Root pass and Capping.

DPT (Dye Penetrant Test) can be carried out for testing a weld plate and Radiography test can also be arranged at site.
